Exciting Matchups and Dates

The highly anticipated ELeague Major for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has announced its opening schedule and pools. During the ELeague Major Preview Show at CES in Las Vegas, the details were revealed in a video broadcast and shared on Twitter.

The First Day of Action

The first day of the tournament will feature eight thrilling matches:

  • Gambit vs. North
  • Fnatic vs. G2 Esports
  • SK Gaming vs. HellRaisers
  • Virtus.pro vs. OpTic Gaming
  • Na’Vi vs. mousesports
  • Team Liquid vs. EnVyUs
  • Astralis vs. GODSENT
  • FlipSid3 vs. FaZe

How the Tournament Works

To ensure fairness, teams have been divided into four pools. In the first round, teams from different pools will be randomly matched up to compete in a best-of-one match. Subsequent rounds will pair teams based on their win-loss records, disregarding pool placement. Teams will advance to the playoffs after securing three wins, while they will be eliminated from the tournament after suffering three losses.

Advancing to the Playoffs

Out of the 16 participating teams, only eight will advance to the playoffs. The playoff bracket will pit teams with the best win-loss records against those with the worst. From that point on, the matches will be played in a best-of-three format.

Important Dates and Times

The excitement begins on January 22, at 10AM ET / 7AM PT. The quarterfinals and semifinals are scheduled for January 27-28, with the grand final taking place on January 29. All matches will start at 10AM ET / 7AM PT.

Venue and Livestream Information

The ELeague Major will be held at the iconic Fox Theatre in Atlanta. General admission tickets can be purchased from the ELeague website, starting at $60. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be livestreamed on Twitch.

With this incredible lineup of teams and the promise of intense competition, CS:GO fans are eagerly counting down the days until the ELeague Major kicks off. Don’t miss out on the action!
